First Reading Assignment

Our first reading assignment is from our spiritual director Fr S. Second Vatican Council's Decree on the Apostolate of the Laity : APOSTOLICAM ACTUOSITATEM

We saw after the implementation of Vatican II some very harrowing results 1965: infant baptisms 1.3 million

2002: infant baptisms 1 million 1965: marriages 352,000

2002: marriages 256,000

1965: priests 58,000

2002: 45,000

There's no mistaking, so goes the Church so goes the world. I didn't even know there was a section of Vat II that I needed to read. We will read, be able to comment here, and then meet once a month. Tuesdays, and Saturdays (giving guys and option to choose what works best with their schedule).

Also as I refine the blog here we can expand into meat, cheap scotch and other important things. Oh, and we will schedule camping and cook outs too. The central idea is that men need to lead and we also need community. I am dire, but I am confident that knowing people can prove to be important in the near future.
