Benedictine Visitor

While I'm working on a lengthy article about Our Lady of Fatima this is a quick note to folks attending mass tomorrow at St Anthony's in King George. Mass is at 6pm and there will be a social afterwards.

St Anthony's

10299 Millbank Road King George, VA - 22485

Tuesday June 28th 6pm

Anyone not familiar with the TLM mass here's what you need to know; men generally wear ties and dress coats and women where nice dresses and veil. If you don't know this mass how wonderful for you to have the opportunity. No one will be mad when you don't know when to sit, stand knell etc. Trads are known for being mean rigid folks but it's not true, I think in reality they are happy to share the mass of the ages with those unfamiliar. This is essentially what mass was like in all of western culture for almost 2,000 years until the late 1960's (so for all those saints and knights and kings).

During the social after mass I encourage you to please donate what you can to Father's monastery (you can also donate here and share with friends who can't make it). There will be a box for donations. They have been devastated by earthquake and the re-building there is a perfect allegory of the rebuilding of western civilization which has been so rocked. My kids each have money enough to contribute at least one brick and are excited to do so. Also we will invite donations for Fr de Rosa's parishes (St Anthony's and St Elizabeth of Hungry) as he is so kind to allow this special mass. There will be a box at the reception.
